CHAP. 12.— An Act To amend section 8 of an Act to provide for the sale of desert lands in certain States and Territorities approved March 3, 1877, as amended by an Act to repeal timber culture laws, and for other purposes, approved March 3, 1891. January 6, 1921. [[S. 2977](/us/bill/66/s/2977).] [[Public, No. 293](/us/pl/66/293).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Public lands.Desert land entries.Vol. 19, p. 377.
That section 8 of an Act to provide for the sale of desert lands in certain States and Territories, approved March 3, 1877, as amended by an Act to repeal timber culture laws, and for other purposes, approved March 3, 1891, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: " “Sec. 8. That the provisions of the Act to which this is an amendment, and the amendments thereto, shall apply to and be in force in the State of Colorado, as well as the States named in the original Act; and, excepting in the State of Nevada, no person shall be entitled to make entry of desert lands unless he be a resident citizen of the State or Territory in which the land sought to be entered is located.
