CHAP. 110.— An Act To establish the Zion National Park in the State of Utah. November 19, 1919. [[S. 425](/us/bill/66/s/425).] [[Public, No. 83](/us/pl/66/83).] *Beit enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Zion National Park, Utah.Former national monument changed to.Vol. 34, p. 225. That the Zion National Monument, in the county of Washington, State of Utah, established and designated as a national monument under the Act of June 8, 1906, entitled “An Act for the preservation of American antiquities,” Vol. 36, p. 2498;
Vol. 40, p. 1760.by presidential proclamations of July 31, 1909, and March 18, 1918, is hereby declared to be a national park and dedicated as such for the benefit and enjoyment of the people, under the name of the Zion National Park, under which name the aforesaid national park shall be maintained by allotment of funds heretofore or hereafter appropriated for the national monuments, until such time as an independent appropriation is made therefor by Congress. Sec. 2. Administration by National Park Service.Vol. 39, p. 535.
That the administration, protection, and promotion of said Zion National Park shall be exercised under the direction of the Secretary of the Interior by the National Park Service, subject to the provision of the Act of August 25, 1916, entitled “An Act to establish a National Park Service, and for other purposes,” and Acts additional thereto or amendatory thereof.
