CHAP. 76.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the payment of October salaries to officers and employees of the Senate and House of Representatives on the day of adjournment of the present session.October 5, 1917.[[S. J. Res. 102](/us/bill/65/sjres/102).][[Pub. Res., No. 13](/us/bill/pubres/65/13).] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Congressional officers, etc., to be paid October salaries on day of adjournment.Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives be, and they are hereby, authorized and instructed to pay to the officers and employees of the Senate and the House of Representatives, including the Capitol police and pages, borne upon the annual and session rolls, their respective salaries and per diem for the month of October, nineteen hundred and seventeen, on the day of adjournment; and theClerk hire of Members and Delegates.
Clerk of the House is authorized to pay on said day to Members, Delegates, and Resident Commissioners their allowances for clerk hire for said month of October: *Provided*, That the session employees *Proviso*.Appropriation for session employees for entire month.of the Senate and House of Representatives shall be paid hereunder for the entire month of October, and a sufficient sum is appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for that purpose. Approved, October 5, 1917.
