CHAP. 50.— An Act Providing for the appointment of an additional district judge for the northern judicial district of the State of Texas. February 26, 1919.[[S. 5342](/us/bill/65/s/5342).][[Public, No. 283](/us/pl/65/283).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President of theTexas northern judicial district.Additional judge authorized.Vol. 38, p. 580, amended. United States, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint an additional judge of the district court of the United States for the northern judicial district of the State of Texas, who shall possess the same powers, perform the same duties, and receive the same compensation and allowance as the present judge of said district.
Sec. 2. That whenever a vacancy shall occur in the office of theVacancy in office of senior judge not to be filled. district judge for the northern district of Texas senior in commission such vacancy shall not be filled, and thereafter there shall be but one district judge in said district.
