CHAP. 37.— Joint Resolution To fix the status and rights of officers of the Public Health Service when serving with the Coast Guard, the Army, or the Navy. July 9, 1917.[[S. J. Res. 67](/us/bill/65/sjres/67).][[Pub. Res., No. 9](/us/bill/65/pubres/9).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Public Health Service.Status of officers of, when serving with Coast Guard, Army, or Navy. That when officers of the United States Public Health Service are serving on Coast Guard vessels in time of war, or are detailed in time of war for duty with the Army or Navy in accordance with law, they shall be entitled to pensions for themselves and widows and children, if any, as are now provided for officers of corresponding grade and length of service of the Coast Guard, Army or Navy, as the case may be, and shall be subject to the laws prescribed for the government of the service to which they are respectively detailed.
