CHAP. 171.— An Act Authorizing the State of Montana to select other lands in lieu of lands in section sixteen, township two north, range thirty east, within the limits of the Huntley irrigation project and the ceded portion of Crow Indian Reservation in said State. September 13, 1918.[[S. 934](/us/bill/65/s/934).][[Public, No. 213](/us/pl/65/213).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Montana.School section selection by, in lieu of Hunt ley Irrigation lands.
That the State of Montana be, and is hereby, authorized to select, in lieu of lands in section sixteen, township two north, range thirty east, within the limits of the lands withdrawn for the Huntley irrigation project and formerly within the ceded portion of the Crow Indian Reservation in said State, other unappropriated surveyed nonmineral public lands of equal area situated within the limits of said State in the manner provided in the Vol. 26, p. 796.Act approved February twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one (Twenty-sixth United States Statutes at Large, page seven hundred and ninety-six), entitled “An Act to amend sections twenty-two hundred and seventy-five and twenty-two hundred and seventy-six of the Revised Statutes of the United States providing for the selection of lands for educational purposes in lieu of those appropriated for *Provisos*.Waiver of rights.other purposes”: *Provided*, That such selection of lands by said State shall be a waiver of its right to the lands in said section sixteen:
Homestead entries validated. *And provided further*, That the homestead entries heretofore erroneously allowed for a portion of said section sixteen shall become valid, subject to future compliance with the law applicable thereto. Approved, September 13, 1918.
