Chap. XXII.— An Act to extend the land districts in the territory of Arkansas. April 5, 1826. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, * Tract of country attached to the land district in Arkansas. That all that tract of country in the territory of Arkansas, lying north of the base line, and west of the Lawrence land district, be, and the same is hereby, attached to, and made a part of, said land district; and all that part of the territory of Arkansas lying south of the base line, and west of the Arkansas land district, be, and the same is hereby, attached to, and made a part of, the Arkansas land district:
(*a*)(*a*) Act of Feb. 17, 1818, ch. 12. Act of March 17, 1820, ch. 26. *Provided,* That nothing in this act containedProviso. shall be construed as authorizing a survey or interference of any kind whatever upon any lands, the right whereof is in any Indian tribe. Approved, April 5, 1826.
