Chap. LXXVIII.— An Act *to amend an act, entitled “An act to alter the times of holding the circuit and district courts of the United States, for the district of South Carolina.”*(*a*)(*a*) See notes to the act of May 25, 1824, ch. 145. March 3, 1825. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, * The circuit court for the district of South Carolina, at Columbia, to commence on the 4th Tuesday of Nov. annually.
That, from and after the passing of this act, the circuit court for the district of South Carolina, at Columbia, South Carolina, shall commence on the fourth Tuesday in November, annually, instead of the third Tuesday, as is now provided for by an act approved the twenty-fifth of May, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four. Sec. 2. Same course to be pursued with suits, &c., as before. *And be it further enacted, *That all suits, actions, torts, processes, and other proceedings, which now are pending in said circuit court, or which now are, or may hereafter be commenced for, or returnable to, the said circuit court at Columbia, at the time heretofore established, shall be returnable to, heard, tried, and determined in the said circuit court, at the time hereby fixed and established.
