Chap. IX.— An Act *supplementary to an act to grant pre-emption rights to settlers on public lands*.(*a*)(*a*) Notes of the acts which have been passed relating to pre-emption of public lands. Act of May 29, 1830, ch. 208. Jan. 23, 1832. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled*, Act of May 29, 1830, ch. 208.Purchasers under the act may assign their certificates of purchase, &c. That from and after the passage of this act, all persons who have purchased under an act, entitled “An act to grant pre-emption rights to settlers on the public lands,” approved the twenty-ninth of May, one thousand eight hundred and thirty, may assign and transfer their certificates of purchase, or final receipts, and patents may issue in the name of such assignee, any thing in the act aforesaid to the contrary notwithstanding.
