CHAP. 79.— An Act To reimburse John Simpson. February 15, 1917.[[S. 3743](/us/bill/64/s/3743).][[Private, No. 185](/us/pl/64/185).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, John Simpson. Payment to, for property damages. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $100 to John Simpson, of Pulaski County, Kentucky, to reimburse him for damages arising from the destruction of a creek ford due to backwater created by the construction of Lock and Dam Numbered Twenty-one on the Cumberland River, and which payment is recommended to Congress by the Chief of Engineers, with a renewed recommendation therefor, in his annual report for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifteen (pages ten hundred and eighty-five, twenty-eight hundred and thirty-seven, and twenty-eight hundred and thirty-eight), which is printed as House Document Numbered Ninety-one, Sixty-fourth Congress, first session.
