February 14, 1917.[[S. 5985](/us/bill/64/s/5985).][[Public, No. 310](/us/pl/64/310).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * “Republic,” steamship.Granted enrollment and license. That the Commissioner of Navigation is hereby authorized and directed to cause the steamship Walkure, admitted to American registry as the steamship Republic, which was sunk in the harbor of Papeete, Tahiti, raised and repaired by American enterprise, capital, and labor, to be enrolled and licensed as a vessel of the United States.
