CHAP. 453.— An Act To amend subsection eleven of section thirty-two hundred and forty-four, Revised Statutes. September 7, 1916[[S. 5987](/us/bill/64/s/5987)][[Public, No. 262](/us/pl/64/262)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Internal revenue special taxes.[R. S., sec. 3244, p. 625, amended](/us/rs/s3244/p625). That subsection eleven of section thirty-two hundred and forty-four, Revised Statutes, be amended by adding at the end of said subsection the following:
Tobacco manufacturers, etc., selling to dealers only, not peddlers.*Provided*, That manufacturers of, jobbers and wholesale dealers in, manufactured tobacco, snuff, cigars, and cigarettes, and the agents or salesmen of such manufacturers, jobbers, and wholesale dealers, traveling from place to place, in the town or through the country, and selling and delivering or offering to sell and deliver such products only to dealers, shall not be construed to be peddlers.
