CHAP. 420.— Joint Resolution Extending the provisions of the Act approved June sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight. August 29, 1916[[H. J. Res. 247](href=/us/bill/64/hjres/247)][[Pub. Res., No. 32](/us/bill/64/pubres/32)] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the provisions of thePublic lands.Homesteaders allowed credit for absence in military service.Vol. 30, p. 473. Act approved June sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, chapter four hundred and fifty-eight (Thirtieth Statutes at Large, page four hundred and seventy-three), shall be applicable in all cases of military service rendered in connection with operations in Mexico, or along the borders thereof, or in mobilization camps elsewhere, whether such service be in the military or naval organization of the United States or the National Guard of the several States now or hereafter in the service of the United States.
