CHAP. 412.— An Act To amend an Act relating to the Public Utilities Commission of the District of Columbia, approved March fourth, nineteen hundred and thirteen. August 26, 1916[[H. R. 16700](/us/bill/64/hr/16700)][[Public, No. 237](/us/pl/64/237)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* District of Columbia.Washington and Old Dominion, and Washington-Virginia Railway Companies.Public Utilities Commission excluded from control of, outside the District.Vol. 37, p. 975, amended.*Ante*, p. 13.
That section eight, paragraph one, of an Act entitled “An Act making appropriations to provide for the expenses of the government of the District of Columbia for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fourteen, and for other purposes,” approved March fourth, nineteen hundred and thirteen, relating to the Public Utilities Commission of the District of Columbia (Thirty-seventh Statutes at Large, page nine hundred and seventy-five), as amended by an Act approved February twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and sixteen, be amended by adding to the names of the companies excluded from the operation of said section, after the words, “and the Washington and Old Dominion Railway, excepting as to the regulation of its operation inside of the District of Columbia,” in the third subdivision of said paragraph, on page nine hundred and seventy-five, the following:
“And the Washington-Virginia Railway Company, excepting as to the regulation of its operation inside of the District of Columbia.” Approved, August 26, 1916.
