CHAP. 409.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress to the board of county commissioners of the county of Hampden, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to construct a bridge across the Connecticut River between Springfield and West Springfield, in said county and Commonwealth. August 25, 1916[[H. R. 17398](/us/bill/64/hr/17398)][[Public, No. 236](/us/pl/64/236)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Connecticut River.Hampden County and Springfield, Mass., may bridge.
That the consent of Congress is hereby granted to the board of county commissioners of the county of Hampden, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the city of Springfield, in said county, and their successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Connecticut River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation between the city of Springfield and the town of West Construction.Vol. 34, p. 84.Springfield, in the county of Hampden, in the State of Massachusetts, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March twenty-third, nineteen hundred and six.
Sec. 2. Amendment. That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, August 25, 1916.
