CHAP. 406.— An Act For the relief of C. Horatio Scott. August 24, 1916.[[H. R. 4559](/us/bill/64/hr/4559).][[Private, No. 138](/us/pl/64/138).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, C. Horatio Scott. Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to C. Horatio Scott, postmaster at Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, the sum of $596.52 paid to the United States on account of funds embezzled by Frank Higgins, a post-office clerk in the post office at Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan; and the sum of $596.52 is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of this claim.
