CHAP. 367.— An Act To amend an Act entitled “An Act making appropriations to provide for the expenses of the government of the District of Columbia for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fourteen, and for other purposes.” August 21, 1916[[H. R. 12712](/us/bill/64/hr/12712)][[Public, No. 222](/us/pl/64/222)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That section eight, paragraphDistrict of Columbia,Public Utilities Commission.Express companies excluded from jurisdiction of.Vol. 37, p. 975, amended. one, of an Act entitled “An Act making appropriations to provide for the expenses of the government of the District of Columbia for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fourteen, and for other purposes,” approved March fourth, nineteen hundred and thirteen, relating to the Public Utilities Commission of the District of Columbia (Thirty-seventh Statutes at Large, page nine hundred and seventy-five), be amended by adding to the names of the companies excluded from the operation of said section, after the words “steam railroads,” in the third subdivision of the last paragraph on page nine hundred and seventy-five, the following:
“express companies subject to the jurisdiction of the Interstate Commerce Commission.” Approved, August 21, 1916.
