CHAP. 31.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress to Washington-Newport News Short Line, a corporation, to construct a bridge across the Potomac River. February 6, 1917.[[S. 8090](/us/bill/64/s/8090).][[Public, No. 303](/us/pl/64/303).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the consent of CongressPotomac River.Washington-Newport News Short Line may bridge, Riverside, Md. is hereby granted to the Washington-Newport News Short Line, a corporation chartered under the laws of the State of Virginia, with principal place of business in the city of Newport News, State of Virginia, and its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Potomac River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, at or near Riverside, in the county of Charles, in the State of Maryland, in accordanceConstruction.Vol. 34, p. 84. with the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March twenty-third, nineteen hundred and six.
Sec. 2. That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, February 6, 1917.
