CHAP. 147.— AN ACT To authorize the sale of certain lands at or near Belton, Montana, for hotel purposes. March 2, 1917.[[S. 784](/us/bill/64/s/784).][[Public, No. 370](/us/pl/64/370).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Glacier Park Hotel Company. Lands at Belton, Mont., may be sold to.Interior be, and hereby is, authorized to sell and convey to the Glacier Park Hotel Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Minnesota and authorized to do business in the State of Montana, its successors and assigns, for hotel purposes, and at a price to be fixed by appraisement at not less than 825 per acre, and under such terms, conditions, and regulations as the Secretary of the Interior may prescribe, all that part of the south half of the north-west quarter of section thirty-six, in township thirty-two north, of range nineteen west, Montana principal meridian, within the following Description.described area:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the right of way of the Great Northern Railway Company, one hundred feet southerly from and at right angles to the center line of the main track of said railway at a point in said center line four hundred and eighty-four feet easterly from its intersection with the west line of said section thirty-six; thence southerly at right angles to said centerline three hundred and thirty feet, this course following approximately the line of the westerly fence constructed by the United States Forestry Service in nineteen hundred and nine; thence easterly at right angles to the last-described course six hundred and seventy-two feet; thence northerly at right angles to the last-described course to the said southerly line of right of way, this course following, approximately, the line of the easterly fence constructed by the United States Forestry Service in nineteen hundred and nine; thence westerly along the said southerly line of the right of way of the Great Northern Railway to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom that portion within lot eight, containing five acres, more or less, within the Flathead *Proviso.* Subject to park regulations.Vol. 36, p. 355National Forest, at or near Belton, Montana: *Provided, however,* That any hotel erected on said land shall be operated by the said Glacier Park Hotel Company, its successors and assigns, under such rules and regulations as the Secretary of the Interior may prescribe for the conduct and operation of hotels within the Glacier National Park.
