CHAP. 308.— An Act To amend the Act approved June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten, entitled “An Act to establish postal savings depositories for depositing savings at interest with the security of the Government for repayment thereof, and for other purposes.” September 23, 1914. R. 9318](/us/bill/63/hr/9318).] [[Public, No. 200](/us/pl/63/200).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Postal savings system.
That sections two and thirteen of the Act approved June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten, entitled “An Act to establish postal savings depositories for depositing savings at interest with the security of the Government for repayment thereof, and for other purposes,’’ be hereby amended to read as follows: " “Sec. 2. Mail matter transmitted free. Vol. 36, p. 815, amended. Vol. 23, p. 158. That provisions of section three of the Act of July fifth, eighteen hundred and eighty-four, entitled ‘An Act making appropriations for the service of the Post Office Department for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty-five; and for other purposes,’ are hereby extended and made applicable to all official mail matter pertaining to the business of the postal savings system; and hereafter the board of trustees for the control, supervision, and administration of the postal savings depository Report of free transportation not required.system shall not be required to show in the annual report prescribed by section one of the Act of June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten, establishing such system, the amount of work done for that system by the Post Office Department and postal service in the transportation of free mail.
“Sec. 13. No additional pay to postmasters, etc. Vol. 36, p. 818, amended. Postmasters, assistant postmasters, clerks, or other employees at post offices of the presidential grade, and postmasters at post offices of the fourth class, shall not be allowed or paid any additional compensation for the transaction of postal savings depository business.” " Approved, September 23, 1914.
