CHAP. 277.— An Act To perfect the title to land belonging to the M. Forster Real Estate Company, of Saint Louis, Missouri.August 22, 1914.[[H. R. 11765](/us/bill/63/hr/11765).][[Private, No. 131](/us/pvtl/63/131).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, M. Forster Real Estate Company.Land in Saint Louis, Mo., quit claimed to.That all the right, title, and interest of the United States in and to a certain parcel of land situated in the city of Saint Louis and State of Missouri, said land being more fully described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a point on the west line of Second Street north seventeen degrees ten minutes east sixty-four feet two inches from the northeast comer of Second and Myrtle Streets; running thence north seventy-two degrees twelve minutes west one hundred and sixty feet ten inches; thence north seventeen degrees eleven minutes cast six feet two inches; thence south seventy-two degrees three minutes east one hundred and sixty feet ten inches; thence south seventeen degrees ten minutes west six feet two and one-half inches to the place of beginning; bounded on the north by the claim of Fanny Deaver, on the south by the claim of Alexis Lalande’s legal representatives, on the east by Second Street, and on the west by the claim of Marie Rose Lajoye and Helen Leroux’s representatives, as shown on the plat of the town of Saint Louis, approved by the United States Surveyor General on April fourteenth, eighteen hundred and fifty-nine, and on file in the General Land Office, for which no confirmation has heretofore been granted be, and the same is hereby, granted, released, relinquished, and confirmed by the United States to the M.
Forster Real Estate Company, a corporation existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Missouri, owners of the equitable title thereto, and to its successors and assigns, forever, as fully and completely in every respect whatever as could be done by patent issued therefor according to law: *Proviso*.Only United States title relinquished.*Provided*, That the confirmation granted shall amount only to a relinquishment of any title that the United States has or is supposed to have in and to said land and shall not be construed to abridge, impair, injure, prejudice, or divest in any manner any valid right, title, or interest of any person or body corporate whatsoever, the true meaning and intent of this Act being to concede and abandon all right, title, and interest of the United States to said corporation, the M.
Forster Real Estate Company, its successors and assigns, who would be the true and lawful owners of said land under the laws of the State of Missouri, including the laws of prescription, in the absence of said interest, title, and estate of the United States. Approved, August 22, 1914.
