CHAP. 150.— An Act To restore First Lieutenant James P. Barney, retired, to the active list of the Army. July 17, 1914.[[H. R. 9147](/us/bill/63/hr/9147).][[Public, No. 136](/us/pl/63/136).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Army.James P. Barney may be restored as first lieutenant of Cavalry. That the President be, and he is hereby, authorized to restore First Lieutenant James P. Barney, retired, to the active list of the Army of the United States with the rank of first lieutenant of Cavalry, his name to appear on the active list of the Army of the United States next below that of First Lieutenant*Proviso.*Number of officers not increased.
Francis H. Ruggles: *Provided*, That the number of officers shall not be increased by reason of the passage of this Act: *Provided further*,Examination required. That prior to his restoration to the active list this officer shall have passed a physical examination for promotion to the grade of first lieutenant,Vol. 26, p. 561. as prescribed by regulations of the War Department under the terms of the Act of Congress approved October first, eighteen hundred and ninety.
