CHAP. 1.— An Act Authorizing the appointment of envoys extraordinary and ministers plenipotentiary to each Paraguay and Uruguay. December 6, 1913.[S. 2318.][Public, No. 39.] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President is hereby Envoys extraordinary and ministers plenipotentiary.Paraguay.[R. S., sec. 1681, p. 294, amended](/us/rs/s1681/p294).authorized to appoint, as the representative of the United States, an envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary to Paraguay, who shall receive as his compensation the sum of $10,000 per annum.
Sec. 2. That the President is hereby further authorized to appoint, Uruguay.*Post*, p. 313.as the representative of the United States, an envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary to Uruguay, who shall receive as his compensation the sum of $10,000 per annum. Approved, December 6, 1913.
