CHAP. 76.— An Act Granting pensions and increase of pensions to certain soldiers and sailors of the Regular Army and Navy, and certain soldiers and sailors of wars other than the Civil War, and to widows of such soldiers and sailors.April 12, 1912.[[H. R. 14918](/us/bill/62/hr/14918).][[Private, No. 7](/us/pvtl/62/7).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Pensions. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws— The name of William Russell, late of Captain Samuel Gordon’sPensions increased.William Russell.
Company H, Second Regiment Oregon Volunteers, also of Captain Edward Sheffield’s Company A, of said regiment, Oregon and Washington Territory Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. The name of Andrew J. Haydon, late of Captain John Kelsey’sAndrew J. Haydon. Company B, Second Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteer Infantry, Indian wars, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of James C. Wildes, late of Captain Knight’s company,James C. Wildes. Florida Volunteers, Florida Seminole Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. The name of Thompson McL. Chambers, late second lieutenant ofThompson McL. Captain J. A. White’s company, Washington Territory Mounted Volunteers,Chambers. Indian war of eighteen hundred and fifty-five and eighteen hundred and fifty-six, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of Elzey Bird, late of Company E (Captains Williams andElzey Bird. O’Neill), Second Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteers, Oregon and Washington Territory Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. The name of Jesse B. Lewis, late of Captain B. F. Burch’s CompanyJesse B. Lewis. B, First Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteers, Oregon and Washington Territory Indian wars, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of William Burgett, late of Captain J. W. Nesmith’sWilliam Burgett. company, Oregon Mounted Volunteers, Indian wars, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. The name of Daniel L. Anderson, late of Captain Sheffield’s CompanyDaniel L. Anderson. A, Second Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteers, Oregon and 1031Washington Territory Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of Patrick Moloney, late of Company C, Ninth RegimentPatrick Moloney. United States Infantry, Oregon and Washington Territory Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. The name of Larkin Richardson, late of Captain Hembrie’s company,Larkin Richardson. First Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteer Infantry, Oregon and Washington Territory Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of Sophronia Vanderbeek,Pension.Bophronia Vauderbeek. widow of Calvin V. Vanderbeek, late of Eleventh Company, Signal Corps, United States Volunteers, War with Spain, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month and two dollars per month additional on account of the minor child of the said Calvin V. Vanderbeek until he reaches the age of sixteen years. The name of James N. Collins, late of Captain S. L. Sparkman’sPension increased.James N. Collins. independent company, Florida Mounted Volunteers, Seminole Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
The name of Edward Pfister, late of Troop F, Sixth RegimentPension.Edward Pfister. United States Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of fifteen dollars per month. The name of William Clemons, late of Captain Cone’s company,Pension increased.William Clemons. Florida Mounted Volunteers, Seminole Indian war, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, April 12, 1912.
