CHAP. 70.— An Act Authorizing the Secretary of the Interior to permit the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Coal Company and the Eastern Coal and Mining Company to exchange certain lands embraced within their existing coal leases in the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations for other lands within said nations.April 5, 1912.[[S. 3686](/us/bill/62/s/3686).][[Public, No. 113](/us/pl/62/113).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Choctaw and Chickasaw coal lands.Missouri, Kansas and Texas Coal Company may relinquish part of lease.
That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to permit the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Coal Company to relinquish certain lands embraced in its existing Choctaw and Chickasaw coal lease, which have been demonstrated to be not valuable for coal, as follows: Southwest quarter of the northwest quarter, south half of the south-east quarter of the northwest quarter, northwest quarter of the south-west quarter, east half of the southwest quarter, west half of the southeast quarter, south half of the southeast quarter of the south-east quarter, section thirty-five, township six north, range eighteen east; north half of the northeast quarter of section two, township five north, range eighteen east; embracing three hundred and sixty Lands in lieu.acres, more or less; and to include within the lease in lieu thereof the following-described land, which is within the segregated coal area and unleased:
Northeast quarter of section thirty-six; east half of the northwest quarter of section thirty-six, township six north, range eighteen east; southeast quarter of southwest quarter and south half of southeast quarter of section twenty-five, township six north, range eighteen east; embracing three hundred and sixty acres, more or less. Sec. 2. Eastern Coal and Mining Company may relinquish part of lease.That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to permit the Eastern Coal and Mining Company to relinquish certain lands embraced in its existing Choctaw 79and Chickasaw coal lease, which have been demonstrated to be not valuable for coal, as follows:
South half of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter, southwest quarter of the northwest quarter, south, half of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter, northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section one, township five north, range eighteen east; embracing one hundred and twenty acres, more or less; and to include within the lease in lieu thereof the following-describedLands in lieu land, which is within the segregated coal area and unleased: Southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section thirty, township six north, range nineteen east; west half of the northwest quarter of section thirty-one, township six north, range nineteen east; embracing one hundred and twenty acres, more or less.
