CHAP. 349.— An Act Amending paragraph ten of section eight of an Act entitled “An Act providing for publicity of contributions made for the purpose of influencing elections at which Representatives in Congress are elected,” approved June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten, as amended by section two of an Act entitled “An Act to amend an Act entitled ‘An Act providing for publicity of contributions made for the purpose of influencing elections at which Representatives in Congress are elected’ and extending the same to candidates for nomination and election to the offices of Representative and Senator in the Congress of the United States and limiting the amount of campaign expenses,” approved August nineteenth, nineteen hundred and eleven.

R. 26278](/us/bill/62/hr/26278).][[Public, No. 298](/us/pl/62/298).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Publicity of political contributions.Vol. 86, p. 824.*Ante*, p. 29, amended. That paragraph ten of section eight of an Act entitled “An Act providing for publicity of contributions made for the purpose of influencing elections at which Representatives in Congress are elected,” approved June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten, as amended by section two of an Act entitled “An Act to amend an Act entitled ‘An Act providing for publicity of contributions made for the purpose of influencing elections at which Representatives in Congress are elected ’ and extending the same to candidates for nomination and election to the offices of Representative and Senator in the Congress of the United States and limiting the amount of campaign expenses,” approved August nineteenth, nineteen hundred and eleven, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows:
" Verification of statements.Requirements modified.“Every statement herein required shall be verified by the oath or affirmation of the candidate, taken before an officer authorized to administer oaths; and the depositing of any such statement in a regular post office, directed to the Clerk of the House of Representatives, or to the Secretary of the Senate, as the case may be, duly stamped and registered, within the time required herein, shall be deemed a sufficient filing of any such statement under any of the provisions of this Act.
