CHAP. 224.— An Act To authorize the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Company to construct a bridge across the Mississippi River near the city of Saint Louis, in the State of Missouri. July 9, 1912.[[S. 6925](/us/bill/62/s/6925).][[Public, No. 220](/us/pl/62/220).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mississippi River.Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Rail-road Company may bridge, Saint Louis, Mo.
That the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Illinois, is hereby authorized to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Missis191 sippi River, from a point on the west side of said river to be located by said company and approved by the War Department, suitable to the interests of navigation, between the Eads Bridge in Saint Louis, Missouri, and the Alton Bridge at Alton, Illinois, to a point in the State of Illinois, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigableVol. 34. p. 84. waters,” approved March twenty-third, nineteen hundred and six.
Sec. 2. That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, July 9, 1912.
