CHAP. 126.— An Act For the relief of Alice V. Houghton.March 3, 1913.[[S. 5137](/us/bill/62/s/5137).][[Private, No. 158](/us/pvtl/62/158).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Alice V. Houghton.Payment to, for injuries. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Alice V. Houghton the sum of eight thousand dollars, for injuries received while employed in the Bureau of the Census, Washington, District of Columbia, January thirty-first, nineteen hundred and eleven, two thousand dollars of said sum to be paid to the said Alice V.
Houghton upon the passage of this Act, and the remainder of said sum to be paid *Proviso*.in monthly installments of seventy-five dollars each: *Provided*, That 1381 no sum of money duo or to become due to the said Alice V. HoughtonNot liable to attachment, etc. under this Act shall be liable to attachment, levy, or seizure by or under any legal or equitable process whatever, but shall inure wholly to the benefit of the said Alice V.
