CHAP. 126.— An Act Providing for the sale of the old post-office property at Providence, Rhode Island, by public auction. May 20, 1912.[[H. R. 13774](/us/bill/62/hr/13774).][[Public, No. 158](/us/62/pl/158).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Providence. R. I.New public building at.Vol. 32, p. 322, amended That the second paragraph of section ten of the Act of Congress entitled “An Act to increase the limit of cost of certain public buildings, to authorize the purchase of sites for public buildings, to authorize the erection and completion of public buildings, and for other purposes,” approved June sixth, nineteen hundred and two (Thirty-second Statutes at Large, page three hundred and twenty-two), be, and it is hereby, amended so as to read as follows:
" “When said building is completed and occupied by the UnitedSale of old building at auction. States authorities the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to sell the present post-office, courthouse, and customhouse building and the site thereof, situated at the corner of Weybosset and Custom House Streets, in the City of Providence, and State of Rhode Island, at public auction, after proper advertisement, on such terms as he may deem to be to the best interests of the United States; to execute a quitclaim deed to the purchaser thereof, and to deposit the proceeds of said sale in the Treasury of the United States as a miscellaneous receipt: *Provided*, That said building and site shall*Proviso*.Minimum price reduced. not be sold for any sum less than two hundred thousand dollars.
