CHAP. 338.— An Act For the relief of R. Q. Merrick. June 22, 1910.[[H. R. 2648](/us/bill/61/hr/2648).][[Private, No. 109](/us/pvt/61/109).] *Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Harry W. Krumm. Credit in postal accounts.Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two hundred dollars to R. Q. Merrick, deputy United States internal-revenue collector, to reimburse him for the same amount expended by him in payment for the loss of a horse shot from under him while engaged in the govern-1812ment service, said horse having been hired to ride on raid in official discharge of duty, which resulted in the capture and destruction of two illicit distilleries, the said horse being shot and killed while so engaged.
