CHAP. 22.— AN ACT Authorizing the President to drop officers from the rolls of the army under certain conditions. January 19, 1911. [[S. 7635](/us/bill/36/s/7635).] [[Public, No. 335](/us/bill/36/pl/335).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President be, and he is hereby, authorized to drop from the rolls of the armyArmy.any officer who is absent from duty three months without leave, or who has been absent in confinement in a prison or penitentiary for more thanOfficers to be dropped if absent without leave, etc.three months after final conviction by a civil court of competent jurisdiction; and no officer so dropped shall be eligible for reappointment.
