CHAP. 283.— An Act For the relief of J. C. Haggard, of White County, Tennessee. March 3, 1909. [[H. R. 15755](/us/bill/60/hr/15755).] [[Private, No. 196](/us/pvtl/60/196).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theJ. C. Haggard.Refund of tax to. Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to refund and pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to J.
C. Haggard, of White County, Tennessee, the sum of seventy-three dollars and fifty-nine cents, for tax paid on sixty-six and nine-tenths gallons of whisky, the warehouse having previously been unlawfully broken into and said sixty-six and nine-tenths gallons of whisky stolen, without fault or negligence on said Haggard’s part.
