CHAP. 278.— An Act For the relief of Ellis W. Joy. March 3, 1909. [[H. R. 14290](/us/bill/60/hr/14290).] [[Private, No. 191](/us/pvtl/60/191).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Ellis W. Joy.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to pay to Ellis W. Joy, of Andrew County, Missouri, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of three hundred dollars, being the sum unlawfully collected from him by the board of enrollment in the State of Ohio, namely, three hundred dollars, to furnish a substitute when drafted for service in the Anny, he not being a citizen of Ohio at the time and serving as a soldier with the Missouri troops.
