CHAP. 218.— An Act For the relief of E. L. Simpson. February 26, 1909. [[H. R. 3844](/us/bill/60/hr/3844).] [[Private, No. 174](/us/pvtl/60/174).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theE. L. Simpson.Payment to. Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to E. L. Simpson the sum of eighty-eight dollars and ninety cents, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to reimburse him for money stolen from the post-office at Carrollton, Illinois, on the night of January second, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, by burglars, the said Simpson being at that time the postmaster at Carrollton, Illinois, and having refunded to the Post-Office Department (upon demand) the amount of money so stolen.
