CHAP. 189.— An Act To amend section forty-eight hundred and eighty-five of the Reused Statutes. May 23, 1908.[[H. R. 17703.]](/us/bill/70/hr/77703)[[Public, No. 133.]](/us/pl/70/133) *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section forty-eightpatents.R.S.,sec. 4885, p. 946, amended. hundred and eighty-five of the Revised Statutes be, and the same hereby is. amended to read as follows: "Sec. 4885. Every patent shall issue within a period of threeDate of patent.Time for final fee payment extended. months from the date of the payment of the final fee, which fee shall be paid not later than six months from the time at which the application was passed and allowed and notice thereof was sent to the applicant or his agent; and if the final fee is not paid within that period the patent shall be withheld. ” Approved, May 23, 1908.
