CHAP. 933.— An Act To provide for the transfer to the State of South Carolina of certain school funds for the use of free schools in the parishes of Saint Helena and Saint Luke, in said State. February 18, 1907. [[S. 8065](/us/bill/59/s/8065).] [[Public, No. 90](/us/pl/59/90).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the stun of fifty thousand South Carolina.Saint Helena and Saint Luke parishes, free school funds transferred to.four hundred and fifty dollars, heretofore invested in United States registered four per centum bonds of the funded loan of nineteen hundred and seven, and the sum of forty dollars, invested in United States registered three per centum bonds of the loan of nineteen hundred and eight to nineteen hundred and eighteen, an aggregate of fifty thousand four hundred and ninety dollars, invested by the Secretary of the Treasury under the provisions Vol. 17, p. 600.of the Act of Congress of March third, eighteen hundred and seventy-three (Seventeenth Statutes, page six hundred), as a fund for the use and support of free public schools in the parishes of Saint Helena and Saint Luke, South Carolina, the interest on which is applied to the support of said schools, shall, on the first day of July, Date of transfer.nineteen hundred and seven, be paid over to the State of South Carolina, in trust, for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of an Act entitled, “An Act to amend an Act entitled ‘An Act to provide Vol. 17, p.600.for the redemption and sale of lands held by the United States under the several acts levying direct taxes, and for other purposes,” ’ approved March third, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, and the said sum of Appropriation.fifty thousand four hundred and ninety dollars is hereby appropriated to carry out the provisions of this Act.
