CHAP. 3950.— An Act For the relief of James W. Watson. June 30, 1906.[[S. 1291](/us/bill/34/s/1291).][[Private, No. 3534](/us/pvt/34/3534).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the balance due from the Merchants’ National Bank of Helena. Montana, to James W. Watson,James W. Watson.Credit in accounts of. amounting to thirteen thousand one hundred and thirteen dollars and sixty-nine cents be and the same is hereby, allowed by the Office of Indian Affairs and the accounting officers of the Treasury Department, and said accounts of James W.
Watson, late acting United States Indian agent, Crow Agency. Montana, be credited therewith, allowing him to be fully discharged from any further liability therefor. Sec. 2. That the said James W. Watson, after the balance of his accountsCorrecting record. shall have been passed upon by the court before which they are now pending, be authorized and allowed to submit the same to the Office of Indian Affairs, for the purpose of correcting his record at that Office. Sec. 3. That the said Watson be, and he is hereby, authorized andProof of expenditures.Vol. 23, p. 97. empowered to show before the court the expenditure of said moneys charged against him under the Act of July fourth, eighteen hundred and eighty-four, and other Acts or parts of Acts, by supplemental vouchers, or facts, or other testimony which evidence shall be accepted by the court, such as showing to the satisfaction of the court the expenditure of said sum so charged back for the uses, purposes, benefit, and good of said agency and the Indians thereof.
Sec. 4. That this Act shall take effect and be in full force and effectEffect. from and after its passage and approval. Approved, June 30, 1906.
