[R.
S., sec. 2844, p. 551, amended](/us/rs/s2844/p551). twenty-eight hundred and forty-four of the Revised Statutes of the United States is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: “ *Provided*, That the authentication may be made by the collector or a Authentications in Philippines. deputy collector of customs in the case of merchandise shipped to the United States from the Philippine Islands.” Approved, June 28, 1906.
