CHAP. 3557.— An Act Granting to the State of California five per centum of the net proceeds of the cash sales of public lands in said State. June 27, 1906. [[S. 1031](/us/bill/59/s/1031).] [[Public, No. 306](/us/pl/59/306).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, California. Appropriation of five per cent of sales of public lands in, for common schools. That there be, and is hereby, granted to the State of California five per centum of the net proceeds of the cash sales of the public lands which have been heretofore made by the United States since the admission of said State, or may hereafter be made in said State, to aid in the support of the public or common schools of said State; and the sum of money necessary to pay said five per centum to said State is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
