CHAP. 3437.— An Act Transferring the county of Clinton, in the State of Iowa, from the northern judicial district of Iowa to the southern judicial district of Iowa. June 19, 1906. [[H. R. 18330](/us/bill/59/hr/18330).] [[Public, No. 247](/us/pl/59/247).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the county of Clinton, United States courts.Clinton County, Iowa transferred from northern to southern district.R.
S., sec. 537, p. 90, amended.Vol. 22, p. 172.in the State of Iowa. be, and the same is hereby, transferred from the northern judicial district of the United States circuit and district courts for the State of Iowa to the southern judicial district of the United States circuit and district courts of the said State of Iowa, and that the said county of Clinton be, and the same is hereby, made a part of the Davenport division of the said southern judicial district of Iowa. Civil process.
Sec. 2. That all civil process issued against persons resident in the said county of Clinton and cognizable before the United States courts shall be made returnable to the courts, respectively, to be held at the Cases to be tried at Davenport.city of Davenport, Iowa, and all prosecutions for offenses committed in said county of Clinton shall be, tried in the appropriate United *Proviso.*Pending cases not affected.States courts at the city of Davenport, Iowa: *Provided*, That no process issued or prosecution commenced or suit instituted before the passage of this Act shall be in any way affected by the provisions hereof, but the same shall be proceeded with and tried in the said northern district.
