CHAP. 2896.— An Act For the relief of James A. Carroll. March 2, 1907.[[H. R. 8699](/us/bill/34/hr/8699).][[Private, No. 2655](/us/pvt/34/2655).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the PostMasterJames A. Carroll.Credit in accounts. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the accounts of James A. Carroll, postmaster at Randall, State of Kansas, to be credited with the sum of ninety-nine dollars, and that he cause said credit to be certified to the auditor of the Treasury for the Post--Office Department, being on account of the loss of ninety-nine dollars in postal funds lost in transit, the mail pouch in which same was con-signed being stolen from the Jamestown, Kansas, post-office and the money abstracted there from, it appearing that said loss was without fault or negligence on the part of the postmaster; and the said sum of ninety-nine dollars is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to pay said claim.
