CHAP. 2880.— An Act For the relief of the widow and minor son of Captain Charles W. Dakin and the widow and minor children of Thomas J. Hennessy, late of the San Francisco fire department, who lost their lives while fighting a fire on board of the United States army transport Meade. March 2, 1907.[[H. R. 15909](/us/bill/34/hr/15909).][[Private, No. 2639](/us/pvt/34/2639).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theCharles W.
Dakin and Thomas J. Hennessy.Payment to heirs of. Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, in recognition of the bravery and services to the United States rendered by the late Captain Charles W. Dakin and Thomas J. Hennessy, both of the San Francisco tire department, in fighting a fire on board of the United States army transport Meade in the harbor of San Francisco, California, on the night of January thirty-first, nineteen hundred and six, to the widow and minor child of the said Captain Charles W.
Dakin the sum of five thousand dollars and to the widow and minor children of the said Thomas J. Hennessy the sum of five thousand dollars. Approved, March 2, 1907.
