CHAP. 2869.— An Act For the relief of the Harbison-Walker Company, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. March 2, 1907.[[H. R. 8](/us/bill/34/hr/8).][[Private, No. 2628](/us/pvt/34/2628).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theHarbison-Walker Company, and W. N. Reardon.Refund of duties. Treasury (notwithstanding any statutory bar of limitation, and not-withstanding the requirements of the statutes as to payment under protest) be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to reopen and reconsider all claims of W.
N. Reardon, of New York City, New York, or the Harbison-Walker Company, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, for the refunding to them or either of them, as their interest may appear, the sum of one thousand eight hundred and twenty dollars, alleged to have been improperly or illegally collected in the year nineteen hundred and one by the collector of the port of New York, as assessed by the appraiser of the port of New York, and paid without protest by one or both of the above-named parties as duties upon five importations of magnesite, namely:
Entry numbered thirty-five thousand nine hundred and eighty-two, paid May fourteenth, nineteen hundred and one, one thousand three hundred and fifteen dollars and forty cents; entry numbered fifty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty-four, paid May fourteenth, nineteen hundred and one, ninety-nine dollars; entry numbered forty-five thousand two hundred and ninety-three, paid May fourteenth, nineteen hundred and one, one hundred and thirty-one dollars and sixty cents; entry numbered sixty-seven thou-sand eight hundred and eighty-four, paid June first, nineteen hundred and one, one hundred dollars; entry numbered eighty-three thousand five hundred and ninety-nine, paid October seventh, nineteen hundred and one, one hundred and seventy-four dollars; total, one thousand eight hundred and twenty dollars; and the Secretary of the TreasuryLimit. is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such amounts, not exceeding in the aggregate one thousand eight hundred and twenty dollars, as shall be shown to have been improperly or illegally collected as duties as aforesaid.
