CHAP. 2572.— An Act To enlarge the authority of the Mississippi River Commission in making allotments and expenditures of funds appropriated by Congress for the improvement of the Mississippi River. June 4, 1906. [[H. R. 16950](/us/bill/34/hr/16950).] [[Public, No. 191](/us/pl/34/191).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mississippi River Commission.May expend appropriations upon levees between Head of the Passes and Cape Girardeau, Mo.
That any funds which have been, or may hereafter be, appropriated by Congress for improving the Mississippi River between the Head of the Passes and the month of the Ohio River, and which may be allotted to levees, may be expended, under the direction of the Secretary of War, in accordance with the. plans, specifications, and recommendations of the Mississippi River Commission, as approved by the Chief of Engineers, for levees upon any part of said river between the Head of the Passes and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
