CHAP. 2561.— An Act Making certain changes in the postal laws. March 2, 1907. [[H. R. 10095](/us/bill/34/hr/10095).] [[Public, No. 220](/us/pl/34/220).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Postal service.Special delivery letters, etc.Use of ordinary stamps authorized after July 1, 1907.Vol. 23, p. 387. That from and after July first, nineteen hundred and seven, when in addition to the stamps required to transmit any letter or package of mail matter through the mails there shall be attached to the envelope or covering ten cents’ worth of ordinary stamps of any denomination, with the words “special delivery” or their equivalent written or printed on the envelope or covering, under such regulations as the Postmaster-General may prescribe, the said package shall be handled, transmitted, and delivered in all respects as though it bore a regulation “special delivery” stamp.
