CHAP. 2557.— An Act To appoint an additional judge for the southern district of New York. May 26, 1906. [[S. 5533](/us/bill/34/s/5533).] [[Public, No. 179](/us/pl/34/179).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, United States courts.Additional judge. New York southern district. That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to appoint an additional judge for the southern district of New York, whose length of term, compensation, duties, and powers shall be the same as now provided by law for the judges of said district.
