CHAP. 2453.— An Act To amend section forty-three hundred and forty-eight of the Revised Statutes, establishing great coasting districts of the United States. May 12, 1906. [[S. 5572](/us/bill/34/s/5572).] [[Public, No. 158](/us/pl/34/158).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Domestic commerce.New coasting districts established. That section forty-three hundred and forty-eight of the Revised Statutes be, and hereby is, amended to read as follows:
" “Sec. 4348. Districts increased to five.[R. S., sec. 4348, p. 839, amended](/us/rs/s4348/p839).Description.The seacoasts anti navigable rivers of the United States and Porto Rico shall be divided into live great districts: The first to include all the collection districts on the seacoasts and navigable rivers between the northern boundary of the State of Maine and the southern boundary of the State of Texas; the second to consist of the island of Porto Rico; the third to include the collection districts on the seacoasts and navigable rivers between the southern boundary of the State of California and the northern boundary of the State of Washington; the fourth to consist of the Territory of Alaska; the fifth to consist of the Territory of Hawaii.
