CHAP. 2099.— An Act For the relief of James P. Barney. February 27, 1907.[[H. R. 9877](/us/bill/34/hr/9877).][[Private, No. 1953](/us/pvt/34/1953).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out ofJames P. Barney.Reimbursement. any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to James P. Barney, late first lieutenant and battalion adjutant of the Third Regiment United States Volunteer Engineers, the sum of two hundred and forty-seven dollars and sixty-three cents, to reimburse him for that amount of public funds stolen from him, without his fault or neglect, in September, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, at Jefferson Barracks.
Missouri, which funds he accounted for and paid over, notwithstanding said loss, to Major Willoughby Walke, as required by law. Approved, February 27, 1907.
