CHAP. 1353.— An Act Granting permission to Professor Simon Newcomb, United States Navy, retired, to accept the decoration of the order “Pour le Mérite, für Wissenschaften und Kunste.” March 30, 1906. [[S. 4198](/us/bill/59/s/4198).] [[Private, No. 1280](/us/pvtl/59/1280).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Simon Newcomb. May accept decoration of the Order “Pour le Mérite, fü Wissenschaften und Kunste.
” That Professor Simon Newcomb, United States Navy, retired, be authorized to accept the decoration of the order “Pour le Mérite, für Wissenschaften mid Kunste,” conferred upon him by the German Emperor, and that the Department of State be permitted to deliver the decoration to Professor Newcomb. Approved, March 30, 1906.
