CHAP. 1350.— An Act Authorizing the sale of timber on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation for the benefit of the Indians belonging thereto. March 28, 1906. [[H. R. 15848](/us/bill/34/hr/15848).] [[Public, No. 71](/us/pl/34/71).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theJicarilla Apache Indian Reservation, N. Mex.Sale of timber on, for benefit of Indians. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized, under such rules and regulations as he may prescribe, to sell or otherwise dispose of any or all of the timber on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation in New Mexico, whether allotted or unallotted; if allotted, with the consent of the allottee, the proceeds to be deposited in the United States Treasury, to be expended by the Secretary of the Interior for the benefit of said Indians, in such manner as in his judgment will tend to promote their welfare and advance them in civilization.
